Viscous materials such as syrup, sugar, and fats can be difficult to discharge from an IBC. Heating the container with an IBC heating jacket can make materials smoother and less viscous, reducing waste and expense.

  • 3 thermostats adjustable from 0-90°C
  • Durable, lightweight design with quick release buckles
  • Compatible with standard 1000L containers
  • Can be used to heat a variety of industrial liquids

Why Heating an IBC Is Important

At room temperature, many materials become viscous, making them difficult to discharge from an IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container). Products such as syrup, sugar, fats and similar substances often become too thick to flow easily, which can result in product remaining inside the container.

This can lead to unnecessary product loss and additional operational costs unless the container is heated first. Heating the contents reduces viscosity, allowing materials to flow more freely and making the container easier to empty.

Efficient Heating with an IBC Heater Jacket

An IBC heater jacket provides an effective solution for quickly and safely heating fluids and materials stored inside an IBC. By warming the container evenly, the heater helps reduce viscosity and makes liquids easier to pour or pump from the container with minimal product loss. The IBC tank heater is equipped with three thermostats adjustable from 0–90°C, allowing controlled and consistent heating. This ensures liquids are heated safely while maintaining the required viscosity of the container contents.

Durable Design for Industrial Use

The IBC heater jacket is designed with a durable, long-lasting lightweight construction suitable for demanding industrial environments. The design incorporates strong fastening straps and quick-release buckles, allowing the heater to be easily fitted to any standard 1000L IBC container.

This secure design also makes the heater suitable for use when transporting containers that require controlled temperatures or maintained viscosity during storage or handling.

Flexible Heating for Multiple Applications

IBC tank heaters can also be used alongside container heating cabinets, where the jacket is fitted directly to a single container. They can also operate together with heating cabinets or heating ovens, making the transportation of heated containers easier while keeping heat loss to a minimum.

The heater can be used for warming a wide range of industrial liquids including water, oils, diesel fuel, resin, wax, fats, butters such as ghee, glue, and adhesives, allowing them to be poured or pumped more easily.

Tip! For faster and more efficient heating, we recommend using the IBC insulated lid (sold separately). The lid attaches easily to the top of the container and helps reduce heat loss during the heating process.
